Terms of Service

      Plain English summary: Use the service legally and kindly. Free plan has limits. We're not liable if a reminder is late or lost. You own your data. We can suspend abusive accounts.
    

These Terms of Service ("Terms") govern your access to and use of RemindMeBot ("Service"), operated by RemindMeBot ("we", "us"). By using the Service you agree to these Terms. If you do not agree, please do not use the Service.

1. Eligibility

You must be at least 13 years old to use the Service. By using the Service, you represent that you meet this requirement. If you are using the Service on behalf of an organization, you represent that you have authority to bind that organization to these Terms.

2. Your Account

You may use the Service as a guest (limited) or by registering an account. You are responsible for:

Maintaining the confidentiality of your password.
All activity that occurs under your account.
Providing accurate and current account information.

Notify us immediately at support@remindmebot.net if you suspect unauthorized access.

3. Free and Paid Plans

The Service offers a free tier and optional paid ("Pro") plans:

Free (Guest): Up to 5 reminders per session. No account required.
Free (Registered): Up to 50 active reminders.
Pro: Unlimited reminders, SMS fallback, priority delivery, and additional features. Pricing is shown on the website and may change with notice.

Paid plan fees are non-refundable except where required by law or stated otherwise at purchase.

4. Acceptable Use

You agree not to use the Service to:

Send spam, unsolicited messages, or harass others.
Distribute malware, phishing links, or illegal content.
Impersonate any person or entity.
Interfere with or disrupt the Service or its servers.
Circumvent any usage limits or access controls.
Use automated scripts to create reminders in bulk without permission.

Violation of these rules may result in immediate account suspension without refund.

5. Reminder Delivery

We will make commercially reasonable efforts to deliver reminders at the scheduled time. However, we do not guarantee exact delivery times. Delays may occur due to:

Email provider filtering or spam classifications.
Server maintenance or outages.
Internet disruptions beyond our control.

The Service is not suitable for time-critical alerts where a missed notification could cause harm (e.g., medical emergencies, legal deadlines). Do not rely solely on RemindMeBot for such situations.

6. Intellectual Property

The Service, including its design, code, and content, is owned by RemindMeBot and protected by intellectual property laws. You retain ownership of the reminder content you create. By using the Service, you grant us a limited license to store and process your content solely to provide the Service.

7. Disclaimer of Warranties

THE SERVICE IS PROVIDED "AS IS" WITHOUT WARRANTY OF ANY KIND, EXPRESS OR IMPLIED, INCLUDING WARRANTIES OF MERCHANTABILITY, FITNESS FOR A PARTICULAR PURPOSE, OR NON-INFRINGEMENT. WE DO NOT WARRANT THAT THE SERVICE WILL BE UNINTERRUPTED, ERROR-FREE, OR SECURE.

8. Limitation of Liability

TO THE MAXIMUM EXTENT PERMITTED BY LAW, REMINDMEBOT SHALL NOT BE LIABLE FOR ANY INDIRECT, INCIDENTAL, SPECIAL, CONSEQUENTIAL, OR PUNITIVE DAMAGES, INCLUDING LOSS OF DATA OR MISSED REMINDERS, ARISING FROM YOUR USE OF THE SERVICE. OUR TOTAL LIABILITY TO YOU SHALL NOT EXCEED THE AMOUNT YOU PAID US IN THE 12 MONTHS PRIOR TO THE CLAIM.

9. Privacy

Your use of the Service is also governed by our Privacy Policy, which is incorporated into these Terms by reference.

10. Termination

We may suspend or terminate your access at any time for violation of these Terms, or at our discretion with reasonable notice. You may close your account at any time by contacting us. Upon termination, your data will be deleted within 30 days.

11. Changes to Terms

We may modify these Terms at any time. We will notify registered users by email at least 7 days before material changes take effect. Continued use after the effective date constitutes acceptance of the new Terms.

12. Governing Law

These Terms are governed by the laws of Singapore, without regard to conflict of law principles. Any disputes shall be resolved in the courts of Singapore.
